Saw this posted up on Facebook earlier when I checked another group I am a member of:

I don’t want to get into political debates on LinkedIn (because there’s enough of that on here already) but the group in question here - “NZ Property Investors Chat Group” (I think was the name) was certainly popular and very active.
Whatever your perspective on property investment is irrelevant in this particular instance.
The issue here is that a popular group on what is ultimately a legal and inoffensive (in the strictest sense) topic has been hit with ye olde ban hammer, because either some rubbish bit of AI has had a bad day at work, or because people who disagree with the underlying theme of the group have complained that the group is offensive … to their sensibilities.
If you take the admin comment at face value, there’s effectively nowhere for them to turn to in order to seek a resolution.
Underscoring all this is a critical message … digital platforms (eg social networks) can and will block you or ban you at a moment’s notice for any perceived open-to-interpretation violation of the rules (ie no normal person would think a rule has been broken)
If your business depends on these platforms in any capacity, it’s important to give thought to how bad the fallout might be if you wound up like this group.
Being banished to the digital wasteland is something that is not taken seriously enough until it is too late.
