One Report To Rule Them All (In Google Ads)

· Adwords-PPC

If you run your own Google Ads for your business, and you don't have much time to manage or look after them (or you're not too sure on the "technical aspects" of the platform) then the most important thing to learn is how to access and read your search terms report.

Unless you have good knowledge of how keyword match types etc work, then chances are you may well have set up your campaigns with 'broad match' keywords.

A consequence of this is that your ads may show for searches that are not particularly relevant (or perhaps not relevant at all) to what you actually sell.

Regularly reviewing your search terms report lets you see exactly what searches are resulting your ads being shown and clicked.

You might be surprised at what you see!

It's not uncommon to see 10, 15, even 20% of clicks go to irrelevant searches (sometimes even higher).

So set aside time each week to review your search terms report, and then block the bad ones by modifying your match types and/or using negative keywords.

If you're not sure how to do this, send me a message and I will show you how and give some specific pointers for your account.
